Sometimes I find myself spending hours looking for authorities on subjects that seem so simple. For example, I spent inordinate amounts of time today looking for a case (out of anywhere, I'm not picky) that deals with a detention based on the wearing of "gang-style" (red, in this case) clothing. Now, you'd think some cop somewhere has to have detained a gangsta because he and his buddies liked red. And you'd think the case would have eventually merited an opinion (even an unpublished one), but I practically got carpal tunnel syndrome typing up Westlaw searches. So I've decided to institute a new category called "There Oughta be a Law." Here I'll post the research questions that are driving me crazy.
